April 22, 2019 Lecture by Ms. Sumie Nakayama from J-Power

Ms. Sumie Nakayama is currently the Senior Advisor on Climate Change with the Corporate Planning and Administration Department / Thermal Power Department at J-POWER and specialist in model-based energy demand/supply analysis.She discussed about the balance of increasing global energy needs and climate change challenges in context of Sustainable Development.

At the end of the class, students were divided into four groups and had a discussion on prioritization of SDGs and each group had a report back.

There was also a Q & A session and Ms. Nakayama kindly answered students’ questions on CCS  (Carbon dioxide Capture and Storage) and COP on climate change.
