2022.4.18 「Global Social Entrepreneurship – SDGs as a theme」offering a course

The first lecture of the first semester of FY2022, “Global Social Entrepreneurship – SDGs as a theme,” was given by Visiting Associate Professor Akiko Murai, who gave an overview of the course content. This was followed by a self-introduction and overview by  lecturer (Assistant Professor of Urban Environmental Systems Engineering, Department of Environmental and Social Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University), Assistant Professor Keeley Alexander Ryuta.
Students from each country also participated via Zoom and introduced themselves.

The second lecture of the day was given by Visiting Associate Professor Akiko Murai on the theme of “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Climate Change Era of Anthropocene/Planetary Boundary. The second lecture was given by Visiting Associate Professor Akiko Murai.

This course aims to empower students’ social entrepreneurial aspiration and to facilitate the development of their business idea further to attract necessary resources as a start-up.
Participants would gain skills and mind-set to firm up their business ideas to contribute to the achievement of SDGs and beyond.
Social entrepreneurs will share their knowledge and experience to stimulate the participants, and experts in the relevant fields, such as design thinking, pitch effectiveness, etc., will run workshops for skills enhancement.
