Report on the 6th lecture of the “Emergency Management Basic 2022” course

Visiting Associate Professor Maki Fukami has started a lecture entitled “Emergency Management Basic.

In this class, students learn how to manage and cope with emergencies and difficult situations collectively. Based on the U.S. emergency management system, students will learn how the U.S. has developed disaster management, how it differs from military operations and counterterrorism, disaster management in other countries, what skills are needed to be a good leader in an emergency situation, and what kind of international cooperation is being done. The course is designed to help students understand how to manage a disaster in an emergency situation. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion of the ICS course from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
