Nando Knodel  (attended autumn 2017 and spring 2018)

For me the course was a path-breaking experience. I was encouraged to dream and think big – I can make a difference! Under the guidance of Professor Sachiko Kuno and Associate Professor Akiko Murai I was able to acquire new skills, develop myself and unfold all my potential. Additionally, extraordinary guest speakers broadened my horizon. Not only did I learn about the most burdensome global problems of our time, but also how to approach finding solutions. In all my time in University, this course was definitely one of the most valuable!

Taking Global Entrepreneurship class made me realize that the main challenge is creating a community where everyone has a sense of purpose. Cliché as it may seem but I believe in the saying “From those to whom much is given, much is expected.” I really believe in the idea of making businesses profitable while making ways to give back in the society. As future managers and leaders, it is not just our moral obligation, but also an everyday duty to develop a more creative capitalism in which we can transform the market forces to work better for the poor people and for the society as a whole. Hence, Global Entrepreneurship is an eye- opener.

If you want to do something better for the society and something that gives everyone in the society a role, then you have to take Global Entrepreneurship class!
